Purpose/Essence of the Project

Developing a smart CPR glove that provides real-time feedback on the quality of CPR performance. The system is intended to improve CPR precision and adapt the instructions to the type of patient (adult/child/infant).

Describe the Product/Project

The project includes the development of a smart glove incorporating pressure (FSR) sensors and a motion (IMU) sensor to measure relevant CPR parameters. The data is displayed in real time on a screen, including a visual indication of normal values. The system helps the user to maintain proper technique through feedback, and thus to improve CPR quality.

How Was the Idea Born?

The idea was born from general knowledge on the issue and a desire to improve current conditions.

Why Did You Choose This Project?

We wanted to combine medical engineering with a practical solution that has lifesaving potential. Since CPR is a critical operation in which precision has a direct bearing on survival chances, we saw an opportunity to develop a product that could improve performance and provide guidance in real time, to professionals and non-professionals alike.

Is the Project Connected with a Personal Story of Yours or of Someone You Know?

The project was born of the general understanding that many people, even with training, struggle to administer proper CPR in real time. Insecurity and imprecision can impact the effectiveness of CPR, which is why we wanted to create a solution that provides the user with confidence and guidance.

What Need Does It Address and for What Population?

The system addresses the need for better CPR quality through real-time feedback. The glove is designed for medical teams, emergency medical responders, and the general public.
