As the newly appointed President of Afeka – Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering, I believe in the power of engineering to shape reality, and in the ability of an academic community to generate enduring and meaningful impact on society. Afeka’s mission — to educate engineers who will lead and advance high-tech industries in Israel and across the globe — is a central pillar of our institutional vision.

Engineering today is not merely a profession. It is a critical instrument in addressing both local and global challenges. In a time when many of our students continue to serve in military reserves or contribute to Israeli society in various capacities, our responsibility as an academic institution is to ensure a high-quality, up-to-date, and relevant education — one that fosters technical excellence alongside civic awareness and social responsibility.
