Letter from the editors

We are excited to launch Afeka's Research Authority quarterly newsletter, showcasing the research endeavors undertaken at our institution across various branches of engineering and science.

In this first issue, we feature two emerging researchers whose recent work has made notable contributions:
From the Mathematics Unit, Dr. Ariel Lietner's principal research focuses on the area of "Coarse Groups." Her latest publication added valuable knowledge and advanced the discourse in this field.
From the School of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Gur Mittelman's primary research pertains to applied energy and agri-voltaic systems. His work in these areas holds potential for developing sustainable energy solutions.

Future editions of the newsletter will continue to showcase research from Afeka's academic departments, highlight innovative developments within our institution and provide information on opportunities for research funding and support.
